I really enjoy doing homework........I think I'm a silly baby.

I had to do my homework today, and I showed mummy how smart I am. See how I colour?! This is so much faster

I am beginning to walk and trot a little. I have also learnt to go up and down the stairs aided.

I love to play with balls, I can use my hands to put the ball into the basketball net. I love to kick balls

Speech wise, I have already changed my poo-pers (diapers) to die-pees a long long time ago (mummy forgot to write it down). I can say lion and tiger in my baby language.
Now, I can finally say the letter 'W' but in my own baby language with 2 syllable.

I love to scribble. Sometimes mummy gives me a rough paper and pencil to scribble, sometimes she'll let me use the Aqua Doodle. Sometimes I'll quickly grab something and draw on che-che's books.

A new game I play
I found out it's so fun to close my eyes and walk. Mummy will tell me "Aricia, open your eyes" but I'll still continue to close my eyes.
Once I hit the sofa.
Another time I found it's much more fun if I stretched my hands out and feel my surroundings.

My development

I've not really spoken for a long long time time huh?

Last entry was December 5th (it's coming to a month already)

Okay, so what have I been doing??

I still go through the usual daily "flashes". Mummy has been bringing me to see the chinese sinseh. Once the lady did a guai-sa for me, which is so painful that I hated her for putting me through it.
On the whole, I am okay. As long as I don't have any fever, mummy's happy.

I began walking a little. And now, I am proud to say I can walk around the house.
This is me walking or..throwing myself into the arms of someone (taken in Taipei)

Slowly, I began to progress and can walk on my own - 23rd."Practice makes perfect; practice makes perfect"

Then on 26th I walked and walked. And realised that I've missed out so much, if only I had started walking sooner!

I talk more, which is in simple baby language and nobody seems to understand me.

2 Step at a time

I didn't know what my legs can do until now. I find great joy in standing (eh.... leaning on something behind me) and then start walking. I laughed with my mouth open wide and take big strides until I fall into mummy's arms.

In hospital, I did try to stand on my own. And although I did fall down, I'll try again and again.

These are some photos taken on Saturday - 10th as daddy and che-che guided me. Mummy say I walk like a crab.

Me! Me! - updates

As I grow older each day, I get to learn to do more things. I am more interested in walking now, though I must say I still don't have much strength on my legs. My mummy say I look really funny, I shake my backside from side to side. I squeal in delight when I do that too!

My che-che loves to play on this skater. So I was given a try and I love it. I love it so much that when my che-che held on to the handle I bite her. Infact, when I want to get things my way - I bite!

Aunty Hiroe lent mummy some Japanese video tapes. We kindda enjoyed this and we would dance to the music. Recently, I've learnt to sway my body from side to side (not shown in this video as this is an older video) which mummy will try to get it down one day.

Mummy say I love to play rough. Yes! I like it when she counts 1, 2, 3. I'll throw myself down on the bed, it's so fun!! You should try it.

Babblings

Another month has gone by, time has slipped on quietly. Unknowingly, I am a big girl now and I can do more things now. It is too at this time, my great-grandmother had to leave us, and she hasn't even celebrated my 1st birthday!

I have more waking hours & love to play toys but most of the time I still prefer to have someone sitting next to me. I hate to be alone!

I am beginning to like the Pooh walker. After that hard knock I had.....eh.....what hard knock I can't remember, I decided to go back to play with Pooh & Tigger. It's really fun to see them popping up and down and I push along.

I am beginning to show my disinterest in one set of the flashcards that mummy's showing - Flags Of The World. I'll play with my lips to show it to her.

I love to imitate and I can do it real fast. Just the other day, mummy dunked in an empty bottle into my bottle and it made funny sound. Immediately, I took the small bottle I'm holding and dunked into the bathtub - but no sound. Why??

I start to know that I can throw tantrum. When mummy takes something away from me, I'll scream and then cry and hold my feet.

I like to sit the wrong way around in my walker. It's so fun kicking and banging into things around the house.

Most importantly, I'm talking alot. I like to argue back and make my point through.

I have another tooth growing, which explains my frettiness and diarrhoae I had at one time.

Mummy discovered it on 2nd August, and she was trying to get photos of my little tooth-sy. I didn't like it and made a big fuss. So............I waited and waited for a chance to take my revenge.

On 9th August, when every Singaporeans proudly don red and white, I decided to give mummy another red colour. I bit her when she was feeding me apricot. I bit the most delicate part of the skin of the right index finger. And it started to bleed inside... now I heard it's still there with coagulated blood. Good!

Better don't offend me or I'll BiTE! Woof! woof!

Boo boo

I had a boo boo (fall today). Mummy was so excited seeing that I could try to walk on my own on this walker, that she wanted to video me. I was so engrossed in the camera that I lost my footing and fell backwards. (the front of the video was taken a few days back)

Remember I mentioned before that I find the thrill in going through our coffee table. Mummy got this on tape, but not in time though..


I am rather naughty too when mummy put me in my cot. I love to stand so would always stand there and kick the railings.

How am I doing?

I love to stand now. Everytime mummy puts me sitting down, I'll reach out for mummy and try to stand up or if not I'll crawl to a furniture and bring myself up from there.

Mummy complains that I crawl too slow, but I have a better view when I'm standing - that's why I love to stand.

I am beginning to understand that this person here is my che-che. I look up to her as my idol, I follow her whatever she does. When che-che coughs, I follow; when che-che makes noise, I follow. Mummy say the house is far too noisy coz' she gets echo in the house.
When we sat on this kiddy ride, I hugged on tightly to che-che and che-che also protected me. I love my che-che but I don't understand why sometimes she cries when I pull her hair or touch her.

I am beginning to understand the word "no" now, I've been up to my sleeves this week doing alot of naughty things, mummy says no, I stop awhile and then do it again. I pretend not to understand the meaning infront of mummy, afterall how many times can I get away from this??

I have been crawling into my "tunnel", it's quite fun. I get in from one side and come out from the next.

I know what the adults mean when they say "mum mum", it means it's time to eat. And I'll open my mouth excitedly.

I am growing to learn new things everyday and I love it!

So, that is what was bothering me. I thought it felt like a tongue scratcher.

Me! Me!

I didn't know that I'm so capable. All the while I thought my legs were for kicking but some time this week, I found another use for it. I can stand up and walk so that I have a better view higher up.

I did alot of practice from lying to sitting, so much so that I'm really good in it now.

I'm having so much exploring myself, I realise I can do more than just lying on my back.

I found a new interest on going on all fours and shake my backside. Hey! I can shake my backside as well as my che-che!! I got everyone laughing at me. I seem to be making everyone very happy and it makes me happy too! What I learnt initially was to do pushups, mummy's very pleased with me coz' she says I'm a healthy girl - exercising. Then I go back and forth, back and forth. Am I suppose to be doing something after this??

Mummy took out something from the storeroom a few days back, it's something with wheels and I can sit in it. It's so fun! The moment I sat in it, I felt I was walking. All I needed to do was to kick and I move, but my mummy said I moved to the wrong direction.

New kind of food

Lately, I have taken interest to a new kind of food - paper. And everytime mummy have to dig it out from my mouth. Even wailing out loud didn't stop her from opening up my little mouth.

It happened three times, and today (4th time) mummy decided to dig it out when I refused to open it for her. Somehow, she still managed to open my mouth. I cried even louder.

I really wonder why mummy had to pull out that paper from my mouth today? First she tells me to be a smart girl, now I did so by eating the newspaper (getting all the information into me-literally!) she has to stop me. Adults are so fickle-minded!!

Updates

Haven't been writing coz I had been busy making mommy busy.

Well, I still look the same as I did when I was born. I'm slightly bigger and my looks didn't change at all - except I look better now.

I love to eat anything and would love to try out the new foods, I'm sure they taste better than my milk.

I am developing new skills (and learnt how to dance tango from mummy - it's so fun!) and learning more things around me. I am curious about more things. And for the past few days I actually ate something called 'paper'. When mummy opened my mouth to take it out, I started crying. Sometimes I wish I have teeth now, so I can bite naughty mummy.
I went out with mummy on Friday, it's good that che-che is not around so that she won't fight with me over the stroller. But then I love mummy; I want mummy to carry me all the time coz' I'm so used to being with her.
