Aricia's life story: August 2007

Another month has gone by, time has slipped on quietly. Unknowingly, I am a big girl now and I can do more things now. It is too at this time, my great-grandmother had to leave us, and she hasn't even celebrated my 1st birthday!

I have more waking hours & love to play toys but most of the time I still prefer to have someone sitting next to me. I hate to be alone!

I am beginning to like the Pooh walker. After that hard knock I had.....eh.....what hard knock I can't remember, I decided to go back to play with Pooh & Tigger. It's really fun to see them popping up and down and I push along.

I am beginning to show my disinterest in one set of the flashcards that mummy's showing - Flags Of The World. I'll play with my lips to show it to her.

I love to imitate and I can do it real fast. Just the other day, mummy dunked in an empty bottle into my bottle and it made funny sound. Immediately, I took the small bottle I'm holding and dunked into the bathtub - but no sound. Why??

I start to know that I can throw tantrum. When mummy takes something away from me, I'll scream and then cry and hold my feet.

I like to sit the wrong way around in my walker. It's so fun kicking and banging into things around the house.

Most importantly, I'm talking alot. I like to argue back and make my point through.

Oh my! It's been a month since mummy last put in an entry for me. My mummy has been too busy lately. I can't wait till I'm older, then I can do everything by myself.

So what have I been up to? I'm always up to my mischief....well I don't get away from it all the time.

♫ I can move rather quickly to stand from my sitting position. I have mummy and Aunty Zet to play with me everyday. Most of the time I still prefer my mummy, coz' it feels so comfortable and the warm & loving embrace when she's carrying me.
Daddy has been travelling alot recently so I don't get to see him much. But I really don't mind when he's carrying me and won't ask for mummy, that is until mummy starts walking infront of me... then I'll pretend to cry for her.

♫ My crawling speed is considered slow as compared to my che-che. But I've gained a little speed. I like to do things slow and steady.

♫ Mummy bought me new DVDs called Tweedle Wink. It's really interesting and I like the Perfect Pitch part where they'll play a note in whole note, half note and quarter note.
Actually I already know music.... a few months ago mummy had photos of me playing with my feet.

♫ I have decided to practise walking on my own now. Sometimes I crawl to the Pooh walker and pull myself to stand; then I'll walk. I want to do it faster coz' I want to go out with mummy more often. Mummy's very pleased. (Moreover, it's my plus point in getting myself into mummy's good books)

♫ I love to point at things with my two index fingers. Most of the times, I hear mummy laughing at me for waving my little fingers in the air. I thought there was a song mummy sang to me "Put your fingers in the air, in the air...."?? I'm only following the song what?!

♫ I love velcro. For my Friday's class, most of the times we get to put a picture on a paper. The velcro acts as an adhesive. I'll be so happy and tear everything apart but will not co-operate when I have to put it back. Infact, I'll be ripping it off.
Mummy tried for some activities at home. I did the same too!

♫ I love to ransack the diaper drawer and throw everything out on the floor. Infact, if sometimes they have to leave me alone for that 1-2 minutes, I'll quickly crawl to the drawer and throw as much as I can.
I LOVE TO THROW ANYTHING!!!

♫ Now I know what time mummy leaves the house to pick che-che up from school. So I'll be waving goodbye to Aunty Zet. But then for the past 2 weeks che-che had been at home. At first I forgot and did that for the first 2 days & mummy laughed at me.

♫ Becoz' of the fact that che-che had been at home for the past 2 weeks means I don't have all mummy's attention to myself. So I will fight with che-che over everything and I'll get mummy's sympathy. Ha! I won the battle!! I've learnt to used the biting tactic (then mummy says "The dog bites" - I don't understand what she means by that) or the hitting tactic.
We fought alot of times over toys, mine and hers.

♫ However 2 days ago, I tried to gain points with mummy again. I pretended to sayang che-che.
Incident : I dunno why she likes to cry so much. I mean all I did was to push or tear down the things she did what?! Then she cried again, after she pulled my hair. SHE PULLED MY HAIR!! I didn't cry but she did!!!! Then seeing how poor thing she looked, I crawled to her; stood up ; hugged her and tap tap her on her back. Well, that did make her stop crying.

♫ I am very clever now. I'm the only person in my class who can follow sensei the rub hands part of our exercise before starting our class. Mummy do that at home too and I luv it. I do better in my ESP.

♫ Mummy's teaching me numbers in Japanese. I tell you my mummy's crazy! Now she's teaching me and flashing at the same time to this song 01-30まで数えよう
I have a few other favourite songs too, I'll smile more and dance to the music. These are the music titles : ぶんぶんぶん , 大きなくりの木の下で , どんぐり　ころころ
